Service Overview
Telkom's Sonnet4 is a specially designed package consisting
of 4 TalkPlus services. It is designed to help make your small
business more efficient, more productive and, ultimately, more
profitable. The four services are:
Features
Ensures you'll never miss a call :
- IdentiCall lets you see who's calling you, can decide
whether or not to take the call and how to greet the caller
(except numbers restricted by the caller);
- Call Answer acts as your personal voice-mail service, and
gives you convenient access to your mailbox from any
tone-dialling telephone, including a cellphone
- WaitingCall lets you answer an incoming call while you're
busy on the line, and gives you the option of putting your first
caller on hold while you take the second incoming call;
- ForwardCall diverts your calls to any number of your
choice (local, national, international and cellphone numbers), so
you don't have to wait by your telephone to receive important
calls;

- Mobility and confidentiality : Messages can be retrieved
from any tone-dialling telephone by using your secret code.
- For security: IdentiCall facility which enables you to
see who is calling even before answering (except the caller’s
number is restricted) can be used with any telephone when
connected to the CLI type of telephone;
- No missed calls : Full details of answered and unanswered
calls are recorded, including the number of the calling party,
time and date of the call - so you can call back when it suits
you.
- Freedom of choice : You can choose to answer the waiting
call or it can be forwarded to your Call Answer voice-mail.
- Control: You are in charge of the activation and
deactivation of your service
- Convenience : With ForwardCall your telephone is as
mobile as you are, you do not have to wait for a call. Calls can
be forwarded wherever you are, including international
destinations and cellphones.

Product specific Terms and Conditions
- Customers should note that the stutter tone is the same
for both ForwardCall and Call Answer
- If ForwardCall is activated, IdentiCall, WaitingCall and
Call Answer will not function.
- Forward must be activated within 24 hours. redials
- For you to use Sonnet you will require Caller Line
Identity (CLI) compatible phone, a range of which is available
from Telkom.
- If Call Answer is activated Forward call has to be
deactivated
- If Call Answer is required to work with Waiting Call,
Call Answer has to be deactivated on busy and then WaitingCall
has to be activated.
- Sonnet does not work over PABX and Primary Rate ISDN
lines.
